Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What do the grading conditions listed for your cards mean?

Mint/Near Mint - Near perfect. You must look extremely close to find any flaws. Cards in this condition will often look as if they were pulled straight from packs. Over 90% of the cards we sell are in this condition and unless stated otherwise, a listed card is assumed to be M/NM.

Slightly Played - A slightly-played card may have minor whitening on the back and around the edges. It may have been shuffled a few times without sleeves, causing minor "wear and tear". The corners and/or borders may be slightly worn, but not enough to mark the card. Cards in this state will be marked (SP).

Heavily Played - A heavily-played card may have a significant amount of whitening on the back and around the edges. It may have heavily-worn corners and borders, or it may have creases. Cards in this condition will have their prices reduced significantly. Cards in this state will be marked (HP).

Q: How do i know if a card is in stock?

Because MTG Savant offers a live inventory, you are actually able to see how many of each item we currently have available before ordering. However, there are two things to be aware of:

1) Although it doesn't happen often, every once in a while, an inventory mistake will result in something being offered for sale that is actually out of stock. If this happens, we will contact you, and ask how you would like to proceed before processing your order.

2) MTG Savant reserves the right to limit the quantity of any card being ordered our of discretion. Should we ever need to do so, we will contact you, and ask how you would like to proceed before processing your order.

Q: I added some cards to my cart to purchase later. Why has prices and the quantities changed when i returned?

Instead of guaranteeing that you will be able to order all products in your cart, MTG Savant only guarantees pricing and available quantities once an order is actually placed. If you really need the cards but would like them reserved for a limited time, you can contact us directly to make arrangements.

Q: I noticed MTG Savant does not carry a large stock of commons and uncommons. Why is that?

MTG Savant does have an inventory of commons and uncommons, but most of the cards we list are rares, for the primary reason that listing the thousands upon thousands of cards will cause an inventory and updating nightmare! The secondary reason is that from a business point of view, rares are our specialty and they sell better too. However, the fact that a card isn't listed does not mean we don't have them. You are welcomed to email us regarding a specific card you need. That said, MTG Savant makes it a point to list some of the most popular and playable commons and uncommons.

Q: Do i get freebies if i buy a large amount of cards?

Yes! If your purchase total goes $100 or above, we will throw in some free foil commons, or low to medium value rares to thank you for shopping with us!

Q: How much do you charge for shipping? When will my cards arrive?

For orders we charge a flat rate of $2.50 regardless of how many cards you buy. Your order will be dispatched on the next business day upon payment made and your cards should arrive within 4-5 days.

If you should choose the Express service, a flat rate of $6.00 will be charged. Your order will be dispatched on the next business day upon payment made and your cards should arrive within the next 1-2 days at the very latest.

Q: Does MTG Savant ship internationally?

Currently, we only ship within the United States. But arrangements can be made for international orders. For more information about this, send us an email.

Q: What are the payment methods available to me?

  • Paypal (if you have a Paypal account)

  • Direct Deposit (details provided in invoice) (pending)
